Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that affects a woman’s hormone level. Women suffering from PCOS produce higher than normal male hormones which cause an imbalance in their hormones. This makes it harder for them to get pregnant since they end up skipping their menstrual periods. It also causes unwanted hair growth on the body, acne, and can add to other health problems such as diabetes and heart ailments. The actual cause for PCOS is not yet clear.
